Yesterday I helped my friend Stacey (proprietress of Flotsam & Jetsom) do a "Vintage Tidbits" trunk show at Ornamentea (a fab crafts store in Raleigh). We got there around 8AM to set up and were ready for business by 9AM. I must tell you I am surprised I made it. I hadn't slept more than 5 hours a night for the past 3 nights and I was dead on my feet. BUT, good ol' adrenaline kicked in at the last minute and all was well. We featured lots of vintage and antique "stuff". Don't we all just love STUFF! Buttons, beads, jewels, tokens, charms, trims and more...it was a verifiable treasure trove for crafters and collectors alike! I took a few pics and posted here to show off the stuff. On my side bar is a button that says Pink Saturday! If you click on that button it will take you to Beverly's site where she tells about Pink Saturday! Basically ladies in blogland just post pink pictures on Saturday! Last count had 115 different blogs partcipating, plus it gets people to visit your blog!
A swap is just that. Different blogs "host" swaps and you sign up for ones that might interest you! I have done the red and aqua swap, and the very vintage christmas swap. The Christmas swap was so much fun and I got some great goodies!! The red and aqua swap was a little bit of a disappointment. I had two partners and one of the girls never sent me anything!!
